We're currently sitting at 9 active price feed publishers, using 3 separate Bitshares price feed scripts to continuously provide the Bitshares network a stable median settle price for Hertz in a decentralized manner.
Currently Hertz is configured to become active once we've got 10 active price feed publishers, increased from 9. Once we pass 10 this will be decreased to 7 so as to not disable if one price feed publisher stops.
There's an active 750 bitUSD bounty on the implementation of Hertz in the btsprice price feed script used primarily by the Chinese Bitshares community. The hope is that once we've got full price feed script coverage, the quantity of price feed publishers can increase to the mid to high teens & the median settlement price will become much more reliable.
Currently awaiting Wackou creating a new BTS_Tools release so that the pip3 python package installer includes the latest Hertz changes. Once this is the case, verbaltech2's price feeds will become accurate.
Any questions regarding Hertz?
