The hard part to disconnect will be from the traditional investment markets. Most don't hold much liquid fiat - but all the markets are valued in your local fiat currency, and I don't see how to get disconnected from that unless you withdraw from those markets.

I do agree - the more value you place in assets that have set - predefined, math controlled inflation - max supply, the more FIAT will struggle to stay relevant. Losing the ability to create money from nothing will destroy the political powers push through pet projects and pay for it down the road.
