Batman Tim Burton. Best superhero film since superman 2. It's a little too long imo - could be cut down to an hour 30. It creates a sense of place, Gotham city feels alive and believable and not so sterile like the new Nolan batman films which could be shot in any american city. Also Nolan played the Batman films way too straight and I think that was a mistake because its such a goofy idea - a guy dressed in a batman suit, fighting crime "I need a symbol - a bat" philosophically retarded. Burton's Batman gets the tone perfectly, its cartoon characters, it's fun, it's camp. But the Joker is kinda terrifying, disfiguring people to make works of art. I enjoyed myself.
