Darth Maul was a Sith Lord who captivated many fans in the Star Wars movie series because of his defiant appearance, saber skills and incredible acrobatics. He was the first character to adopt a lightsaber different from the conventional ones, giving him his own characteristics that facilitate the fulfillment of his missions. Although there were no lengthy or memorable dialogues, it represented a big problem for the Jedi Council in the first episode of the prequels (The Phantom Menace) ; taking the life of the Jedi Master from the likes of Qui Gon Jin.
Although his period on the big screen was very short (like his dialogues, haha), there are later stories that speak more of his development, history and life, because it is worth noting that everything ended for him after being cut off half for the saber of Obi Wan Kenobi.
Today I bring you a Top 10 of Things that you may not know about Darth Maul, a Sith full of hate and thirst for revenge.
-1. Maul's mother, Talzin, leader of the group "The Night Sisters" along with the rest of the witch members of the clan, were responsible for granting him his characteristic red skin color and his tattoos.
-2. Although Maul did not always keep his red tattoos. Mother Talzin took it upon herself to remove them by magic. It was some time after Darth Sidious, who was the Sith master of Maul, took it upon himself to place them again.

-3. In principle, Maul was trained to be used by the Sith as a murderer and not as an apprentice. His skills and abilities, as well as his intelligence, made Darth Sidious teach him the art of the Dark Side of the Force.
-4. His double sword was created by himself, although there are two versions of his creation: a canon and one in the line of Legends.
- Canon: Maul creates his double saber with the help of Darth Sidious.
- Legends: Maul creates his saber without the help of Darth Sidious, in order to kill the Jedi master Siolo Ur Manka.
