Based on Tyson's explanation, it can be concluded that the dark velocity is the same as the speed of light. But if you expand the concept of darkness into dark matter, then you will get a different answer.

Dark matter is a type of matter that is different from ordinary matter like protons, neutrons, and electrons. Although dark matter has never been observed, its existence can be proven by the effects of gravity. An estimated 80 percent of the universe consists of this material.

Based on research conducted in 2013, scientists estimate dark matter moves at a speed of 54 meters per second. Much slower than the speed of light.

Now if the dark sense is extended back into a black hole. Black holes are giant stars that die and have very strong gravity. Even light cannot escape from its appeal.

"Close to a black hole, objects will be attracted to the speed of light. When entering 'horizon', no one can get away. Even light is trapped inside forever, "said Avi Loeb, head of Harvard's Astronomy Department.

The dead star still has mass, but is compressed into a very small space. To save angular momentum, the rate of rotation of the black hole rises dramatically.

Quoted from National Geographic, in 2013 astronomers managed to measure the rotation of supermassive black holes that are 60 million light years away. Where the rotation speed reaches 84 percent of the speed of light.

Interestingly, the speed of rotation of a black hole in the heart of the galaxy NGC 1365 is considered the maximum limit allowed by the laws of physics.
