So, to power down completely our accounts we need 13 weeks. Most steemians didn't start to power down yet because they want the maximum from the airdrop. Maybe others don't want to leave completely and still see a chance that steem will be saved somehow. Maybe some magic will happen.
But, the thing that most of our witnesses are leaving and their nodes will not work. Maybe some of them will stay, I don't know. I'm not sure if those witnesses by Justin will do something or they will just let the blockchain die ?
Most dapps are preparing to operate in hive as well. But some of them already said that they will be on both chains. The same about whales, orcas and even dolphins who are not powering down.
As a minnow I'm just watching. I'm also powering up to support our witnesses because I still see 10 in the top. Most of them said that they are leaving and some even start to turn off their services and API.
I think those who will leave, they will stay here at least 13 weeks to curate shile powering down. I don't think they will just stop earning money if that possible during the power down.
Maybe most steemians will start power down only after the hive is launched and the airdrops finished. I still see them posting anyway, even those who said that they will leave.
I think it will be hard 13 weeks period for all steemians. We are so use to post and curate in steem. Those are years of hard work ... .
