Sex has almost in many ways, turned into mutual masturbation . Not always, but certainly increasingly, sex has been devalued and connection that it provides perverted. We have hijacked that feeling and made it into something that it shouldn't be, a salve for our soul. It provide temporary dopamine bursts, but unbeknownst to us, it creates a feedback loop of broken and unfulfilled feelings.

I am just out of this window where this relevant. I grew up just prior to the proliferation of all this easy access. Internet was still dial up, and cell phones were giant bricks for the super wealthy. I can't speak for how I would exist in a world where this is normal and human interaction has been devalued, but I would like to think I would be able to find a better path.
