"... but the just shall live by his faith." Habacuc 2: 4
I meditated on the economic crisis we are going through not only in Venezuela but in all parts of the world. And this led me to think about José and his family. Whenever there is a crisis, the ingenuity of God is manifested in some way. He always has a specific plan with which he saves us from many things. We see how God preserved Joseph's family in Egypt amidst the great hunger and scarcity that there was. Even in the time of lean times God took care of his children. He took them out of the land where they were so they could survive. Jehovah is faithful and keeps his promises. And when we analyze the impact that God allowed Joseph to be a ruler in those times (despite all the things that had to happen before arriving at the palace) we see the impact that this brought not only to his family but to the generations later.
I know that we are living through difficult times, moments when many people are confused, depressed, discouraged, thinking that the solution is to take their own lives or steal a bank. But friend and brother that you read to me, let not your heart be troubled. If it is true that many times we go through difficult trials, be it in the economic, physical or any other area. But God continues to have control and care. Crises pass, calm comes after the storm. Through these things that we often go through, our fidelity and perseverance are tested. I am currently unemployed, but I have always seen the powerful hand of God working, rescuing, providing at the right time. I confess that it has not been easy, to trust absolutely in God when our logic intervenes is something strong. But I always remember that passage in the Bible that says that if he takes care of the birds and the lilies of the field, how much more will he do for each one of us. In the midst of the drought that occurred, Elijah could see how God sustained him in the desert. When the widow lacked the oil, God operated a miracle and did not stop.
As long as you keep your faith in God and do not cross your arms or surrender to circumstances, something will happen. Maybe an idea or a strategy that will come from God will come up so you can get out there. They say that "necessity is the mother of inventions". Who knows if in this moment of crisis that you are going through you have a fabulous idea that many good things can arise from.
I like to think of Habakkuk 3: 17-19: "Although the fig tree will not flower, neither will there be fruit in the vines, though the produce of the olive tree is lacking, and the tilled ones will not give maintenance. And the sheep are taken out of the fold, And there are no cows in the pens; Nevertheless, I will rejoice in the Lord, and rejoice in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength, who makes my feet like hinds' feet, and makes me walk on my heights. "
Is that those words that Habacuc exclaims are so deep, I think they are a victory song even in the midst of despair. They are words spoken with faith and reflect a love that does not change according to circumstances, but is constant. Just as God was with Israel when He was crossing the desert, as He provided them with water, food, and even their clothes and shoes, He did not wear out, God will open some window of blessing for your life and that of yours.
Do not faint, God sustains you, he takes care of yours.
