The daily Christian walk I meet a number of not a few people who do not enjoy the fruits of salvation; the ineffable joy, the peace that surpasses all understanding; in short, the integral blessing of God.
The Bible says that we are at war and that this war is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers; therefore the weapons of our militia are not fleshly but powerful in the Lord.
I was born and raised in a Pentecostal congregation filled with the power of God, where the manifestation of the Holy Spirit worked healing, miracles and deliverance. But not always the development of this war must be in warlike form.
What then shall we say to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how can he not also give us all things with him? Who will accuse the chosen ones of God? It is God who justifies. Who is the one who will condemn? Christ is the one who died; moreover, he who also rose again, who is also at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us. Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Tribulation, or anguish, or persecution, or hunger, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written: Because of you we are dead all the time; We are counted as slaughter sheep. Before, in all these things we are more than overcomers through him who loved us. For which I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor the present, nor the future, nor the height, nor the deep, nor any other created thing can separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8: 31-39 (VRV)
The Bible teaches us that satan is the master of illusionism, father of lies, all the time he will be trying to convince us that the Lord rejects us or has stopped loving us because of our mistakes. But the truth is that as this biblical quote says, nothing can separate us from the love of God.
There are times when we feel cornered and without exit and we seek to make war but we feel conditioned and lacking in strength. This is because we usually focus on the problem rather than on the solution. In the book of Esther, in the bible, we are told that in a moment of anguish for the Jews, having already a published edict of death sentence for all the Jewish people by the Prime Minister Amán; Esther appears in the presence of the king, and this, dazzled by the beauty and grace of the queen promises to grant him to the half of the kingdom. But Esther invites him to a banquet that she would perform to entertain him, and also invites Haman, his enemy.
Would you invite your enemy to your table? How to enjoy a banquet when your executioner is eating in front of you? The truth is that this is what happened. The psalmist says that the Lord in His Love shepherds and lays tables before us in the presence of our anguishrs. We do not have to fear.
The Bible says:
Delight yourself in Jehovah, and he will grant you the requests of your heart. Psalm 37: 4 (VRV)
The biblical passage of the book of Esther shows us something very important, she knew what pleased the king. Do we know what pleases the King of kings and Lord of lords? Do we present ourselves by offering a feast worthy of the King? Or do we simply bring "fast food" to present selfish complaints and petitions? Does the Lord feel pleased with our entertainment? The apostle John says that the Father "seeks" true worshipers to worship Him in Spirit and in truth (John 4: 23-24). The true feast of worship to our King is to long for His presence. Why stay alone with half the kingdom if we can have the King's heart?
By the time the King's feast was delighted, it was then that he presented his request.
It does not serve us to present ourselves in the presence of the King looking only for his hands; the important thing is his presence, his face, his heart, to adore him for what he is and not for what we can obtain from him. That is when the adoration is true and everything that constitutes our enemy also becomes enemy of the King .
Haman was killed on the gallows he had prepared for Mordecai, Esther's uncle.
Being confident in the Love of God makes us sure to maintain victory. When our worship is extravagant, delight begins in the presence of Jehovah and this allows Him to be glorified by granting the requests of our heart.
Worship is our most lethal weapon when facing our enemies; in it we focus on God before on problems and this allows glory to be only for Him.
It does not matter that your enemies multiply, this is the promise of the Lord.
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it in abundance. I am the good shepherd; The good shepherd gives his life for the sheep. John 10: 10-11 (VRV)
