Hello, Hivers! How are you doing today? I hope all is well.

The day before my midterm exam, our family, which I mean my whole family including the extended family on my mother's side, had a vacation on one of the emerging beach attractions in Nasugbu, Batangas Philippines — the Panutsutan Beach.

In this blog, I will share with you the fun experience we had on Panutsutan Beach.

We're going on a trip

From our place, we need to travel by land for three hours. To reach our destination early, we went aboard as early as 3:00 am. We rented two jeepneys to accommodate our big family.

Along the way, I am able to capture some of these nice sceneries.

After some time, we decided to stop at the side of the road to drain our bladders and have some stretch. I also find it an opportunity to take some images because this kind of calm environment doesn't exist in the city.

By the way, we took the Nasugbu-Ternate Highway that runs through Mt. Pico de Loro or Mount Palay-palay National Park. As you can see in the image, it's a mountainous area so you can enjoy the forestry vibe and mountain view while transversing the road.

The place is calm. You can hear the rustle of the dry leaves, the peaceful harmony of the birds flying around, the relaxing sound of the crickets, and the feel of the gentle cold air breeze.

Arriving at the Panutsutan Beach

Several minutes after, we finally reached our destination! I can say that the place is under development because of the ongoing road works which are evident because of the bumpy and dusty roads. Nevertheless, I am looking forward to the beautiful and calming beach.

Before going there, you need to confirm your cottage reservation. Luckily, days before going here, my mother contacted the beach management and booked two cottages. This saved us time and gave us convenience.

From the parking area, we walked for around 3-5 minutes to reach the beach proper. We bought the essentials including the potluck, sunscreen, beach attire, etc.

Reaching the cottage, you can immediately see a glimpse of the beach. This makes me happy that I already want to run and dive into the water. I need to keep my composure as I still need to eat and have my breakfast and have a picture haha.

While eating, I saw this cute beach doggo. I took a safe distance and open my camera. I think he knew that I am taking pictures of him because he occasionally look at me. It's just that he loves it or he is just used to it.

We went here on Sunday. The volume of the crowd was heavy and it was understandable because it was the weekend and that's the only free time for most of us. So, if you want a more peaceful time to go here, choose weekdays.

My cousins on the other hand went to the shore and bring their toys to play with the sand. They seem to enjoy the fine white sand. Look at her, she buried her own feet.

If you're not in the mood to swim, you can just stay on the shore feel the warmth of the sun and just appreciate the moment.

After a while, I decided to change my attire and call my younger brother to take pictures of me. Here are some of his great shots:

This is the only part of the beach where there are no people wandering around. Excuse my facial expression and my attire as well 😂.

This is the rockiest part of the beach and maybe the reason why there's no one would like to stay here. But the ambiance is great and the quality of the water is still exceptional.

I was planning to call my father to take some pictures but I can't find him. Later, I found out that he is busy filming for his vlog. He also seems hooked on the beauty of the place. He already posted it on YouTube, here's the link if you're interested.

Aside from the beauty of the place, there are also several activities you can choose from. In the image below, you can rent a kayak boat for $20-$40 for the duration of one hour or if you want something traditional you can rent a traditional boat. There's also a jetski boat ride that is priced around $100. If you want to save a bit, there's also a beach volleyball area that you can use for free!

In the remaining hours of our stay there, I indulge myself in the crystal clear water. I am not able to film or take pictures of myself because of the fear that my phone might be submerged in the water — my device is not waterproof hahaha. Plus I want to take that time to unwind and enjoy the day before taking the midterm exam tomorrow. I just hope that I will pass the test, lol!

Before going home, we had a picture. A picture that will serve as a souvenir that we went here, and we had a fun moment as a whole family.

Here are some bonus shots!

Before I end...

Before we went home, we decided to pass by Keybiang Tunnel first to take some photos. We ensured that we won't be a disturbance to the traffic. Aside, there are little to no vehicles passing by so it's perfect for taking photos.

This was constructed in 2009 and was finished in the year 2013. It connects the place of Ternate, Cavite to Nasugbu, Batangas, and is currently the longest underground highway tunnel in the Philippines.

It was fascinating to think that they were able to dig a tunnel under the mountain. This also saves the other forest area from being cut down to give way for the highway.

At the end of the day, we reached our home safely. We enjoyed the short vacation we had at Panutsutan Beach. I hope you enjoyed reading it, too!

If you've made it here, thank you so much for reading. I always spend several hours just to complete this, which might seem like an exaggeration to others but trust me, it's not 😅. So, the thought of someone reading my work already warms my heart (∩˃o˂∩)♡. Until next time, bye!
