Yesterday I thought to myself, it won't be so bad, people learn slowly. But today I know better.
The plan for this morning for my girlfriend and I was to get out of the house and collect the leftovers from the noisy evening outside the door to make a post here with the results. Should be quick. About 10 minutes.
Door open and when we saw what was lying on the street, the plan changed immediately.
The public roads are not salvageable today. Too much.
Our local recreation area with the river Wertach and its meadows are just 5 minutes away by bike. Beavers, ducks, lots of squirrels, rabbits and countless birds live there.
Before we try to clean up in front of the houses, we concentrate on the green areas. There can't be that much there.
Well, actually we knew there wouldn't be. The photos are actually more harmless than they really were. Why do they have to put plastic fragments in these fireworks anyway? It's bad enough that so much crap is being shot. All over the park there are these golden 5 cm long strips of glitter. We haven't had a chance to collect it. And the municipal rubbish cleaners won't be able to do it either. The things will fly around in nature forever and ever.
But the rest will also stay with us for a long time.
It won't be that easy to take part in the Clean your City Challenge anytime soon.
