I have talked to DC and multiple community members about all of this for about a month or so. This is why we had the ama with the CEO and staking requirements have been implemented. Yes it's a delegation and it is meant to be either/or so that renting SPS was not an option.

At this point there is a pretty damn even split of people saying give staking a chance and people saying pull the rewards entirely. If things don't improve soon, it's going to be the second option.
