Unless you have been living under a rock, then you probably already know that the STEEM vs HIVE war is not over. A couple of days ago Justin Sun decided to retaliate against the HIVE community for the successful fork by stealing 23.6 million STEEM from some of the biggest and most influential stakeholders that either platform have ever had. Essentially our decision to move and do something new has disgraced him and cost him money, so he has decided to retaliate the only way he knows how, which is by stealing from the people he holds responsible.
So why is this a "call to arms?" Last night CZ from Binance put out an announcement on his thoughts and plans regarding the STEEM hardfork 23.0 and the theft of investor's funds. To say his response is disappointing would be quite an understatement, but it is not entirely unexpected. He went on to make further statements to people like Andreas Antonopoulos that is "sad to see we are bringing up class action lawsuits and dragging in third parties that just process transactions."
This "call to arms" is in no way meant to incite violence. It is meant to incite a grassroots uprising that fights the false narrative that people like Justin Sun and CZ are trying to spin so that they can save face and to make the world know what really happened. The fact is, whether we are directly affected or not, they have colluded to overthrow the decentralized governance of a blockchain (STEEM) for their own profit and are now stealing funds from the investors of that blockchain and maintaining an avenue to liquidate those funds on unsuspecting potential new investors.
I propose that it is our social responsibility and duty to make sure that everyone that reads their propaganda on social media and hears their false narrative labeling people that have helped us build and grow this community for the last four years as criminals and hackers also hear our perspective. We have several people out there that have already been working towards this end, myself included, but I think it's time to show them how big this community really is and the full power of our reach.
If you still have traditional social media accounts, such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or wherever else these snakes are spreading their lies, it's time to find them and make sure that every piece of communication they try to put out spinning the narrative is flooded with the truth. If you don't have accounts, please consider making one and joining the resistance. Don't let up until they are either in jail, financially ruined to the point of irrelevance, or pitchforked out of the crypto community for good. Call them out every chance you get and make sure that anyone that follows them knows they fucked with the wrong community. Much love to all of you and much wrath to those that aim to do us harm.
