Hello friends of Splinterlands, here we are with a new appointment with the Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge, the event that every week delves into one of the dozens of game rulesets, inviting all players to share their gaming experiences and tactics, helping the mutual exchange of information and suggestions. In my opinion, the challenge is very useful, especially for those who are just starting out in the game and need to quickly learn the game's dynamics.
This week's rulset is Lost Legendaries, so all legendary units will not be usable in battle, excluding summoners (in general the latter are never heavily penalized by the rulset). Legendary cards are always highly coveted, they are generally the most powerful, but if you get a rulset like this... Well you're done for! The deck of cards must always be well balanced, otherwise you often risk being left out of the game.
My battle, in addition to the Lost Legendaries ruleset, was conditioned by poison and the use of cards exclusively with magical attack. As a summon, I therefore chose the summoner of the death element THADDIUS BROOD because he inflicts a -1 penalty on opposing magical attacks. Unfortunately my opponent had the same strategy as me, penalizing my cards as well.
After an initial balance, the battle immediately took a difficult direction for me, the opponents started to pull my units down and after not much time, my formation was decisively defeated. It should be noted that some cards from the death element have not yet been fully enhanced, unlike my opponent, and this was a major disadvantage because my opponent was much more competitive. With elements like Water, Fire or Life the outcome would probably have been different.
It is necessary for me to continue to improve my asset to be more competitive even with the currently less performing elements.
