The photo shows one of the two lighthouses in the port of Trani. The red lighthouse is the twin of another twin lighthouse, located on the other side of the entrance to the port of Trani, green in color and always visible in this photo, at the bottom.
In the evening the two lighthouses are lit red and green respectively and are a fundamental reference point for boats sailing in complete darkness.
