Although it is now the middle of winter, the climate is decidedly less cold than usual, and the plants still retain their autumn colours. Some have lost their leaves, while others are still firmly attached to the branches. It is an ideal day for a nice relaxing walk along the sea and breathing in the saltiness, just like in the summer season.
During the summer season, the kiosk is open to the public and the garden is always tidy for ongoing maintenance. In winter, on the other hand, nature tries to regain its space, invading territory that has always belonged to it but does not have the necessary time. Here, when I was a kid and hung out with my group of friends, I probably spent the best years of my life, carefree and fun.
Every night I came home with stomach cramps from so many laughs, and the next day it all started again. Years that will never come back, for better or for worse. Today each member of that group has its own family, while some have made different choices. It's so hard to accept that 20 years have passed but time passes inexorably for everyone, albeit slowly but steadily.
A new year has now arrived, in October I will be 40 years old, and I still can't get over how much of an adult I've become. I still feel like a kid who wants to do teenage things.
Well, now this post is getting too nostalgic, better put your headphones back on, play some Dream Theater songs and keep walking peacefully. The road back home is very long...
Regards,
