Beautiful Needlework Friends!

Just wanted to share with you, my glorious finds this morning at the 50c stall in the Telese mercato! I often visit only this stall at the market, because it is such a brilliant source of amazing and sometimes surprising garments - I usually spend at least 30 mins digging through the layers and finding treasures...

Today was no exception! I was ecstatic to find this stupendous party skirt, a dream item that I may make into a dress, or pair up with some other items, to make a spectacular outfit for an upcoming wedding 🤩

And then this beautiful fabric - in a horrible-shaped dress with ugly buttons, but I adore the flowers in the pattern, so am thinking on how to dramatically repurpose it. 😍

Then, two brilliant-but tiny-wee skirt-like items.... They wouldn't cover my ample and gorgeous derriere, but they may just find their way into a new top-half of the spotted black underskirt at the top of this post.

Both have beautiful sequin work, and the darker one has a very nice elastic and decorative waistband, which might also fit into a dress project with the dream underskirt....

And this lovely blouse, which will need to be adjusted a lot to flatter my torso, but it's a really nice light lace, and the colour inspired me to try a different kind of style to my usual choices.

Aaand... these splendid silk trousers! Cannot wait to try them on!

Not bad for €3, eh! If they dry in time, I may quickly sew up a couple of the items, for a party this afternoon ☺️❤️🌹So excited to have a bunch of new garments to play and sew with!
