When Bitcoin took a dive to $56,000 a few days back, the market went into panic mode. A lot of folks, myself included, saw hefty losses in their assets. But as Bitcoin started climbing again, hitting over $63,000 in the past few hours, it's been a huge relief.
However, checking on my Hive Game assets, it's a different story altogether. Hive is just hovering around $0.3, and since most game assets are tied to Hive liquidity, if Hive isn't doing well, neither are the game assets. That's why I've mentioned before the need for Hive Game to go cross-chain. Plus, compared to web 2.0 games, Hive Games are relatively static. Without a robust economic model, players are mostly just users on the Hive Blockchain. The integration of Hive into applications and commerce is weak, making it more of an entertainment suggestion. I still wonder how Hive managed to skyrocket to $3 at one point.
