Hi friends,

When the market is down, do you usually buy or sell assets? People often feel like prices go up right after they sell, and drop as soon as they buy. But really, prices naturally fluctuate. It’s all about your perspective. As long as you sell at a price higher than what you bought it for, theoretically, you should be making a profit.

I tend to focus on long-term investments. When it comes to Splinterlands, I view it from a long-term perspective. People are always chasing profits, so if there’s money to be made in Splinterlands, capital will flow in, driving it to new heights. It’s worth considering what kind of value Splinterlands creates. Do Splinterlands Card NFTs have value? Do $SPS, $DEC, or other assets hold value?

I got lucky this time and pulled a Legendary Card. Does it have value? Let’s break it down. First, can it be sold on the market? Not yet, but after August 15th, it will be unlocked. It has 1500 Power, and it will cost 7500 $DEC to unlock it, which is about $4.5. So, if I sell it for less than $4.5, I’ll lose money, and of course, the higher I can sell it for, the better. Right now, the cheapest Legendary Card is $0.35, which is around 580 $DEC. Selling it on the market, though, and whether it will actually sell, is an art in itself.
