Western genre is quite an interesting subject. Western genre is sub-divided into different subgenres and one of the most interesting one is Indian Genre, which we are going to discuss today. Those of you who watched Geronimo will recall this genre easily. It has attempted to reverse some of the negative stereotypes put forth by early Hollywood westerns. The Indian western presents a sympathetic but also controversial portrayal of indigenous Americans once considered "the enemy" by popular movie heroes
