2/🧵 If I must say, slavery never ended; it was modernised. People no longer wear chains on their legs, and they are not physically beaten by their masters most times. I keep wondering if working in a private sector is a privilege or a bondage because the way we are being treated looks as if we are slaves working in private sectors. It may seem as if slavery is no more, but we are still slaves. Unknown to us, slavery is part of the system. No matter how we try to fight slavery, we can’t because it has been modernised. Even when you are being enslaved, you will not realise it; you will always think that they are doing you a big favour.
