Handmade Heart Mobile for Valentine's Day

Hello everyone!

Valentine's Day is coming! Let's create some simple and fun decorations for this special day! My two kids joined me today to make some decorations to celebrate the heart's day.

Here are the materials we used:

• Used old folder (paper plate can also be used)
• Pencil
• Scissors
• Stapler
• Double-sided tape
• Crayons
• String
• Glue
• Round plate
• Colored paper

Procedure:

• Using a big round plate as a pattern, draw a circle in the used folder, then cut along the line.

• Draw a spiral on the circular pattern you made from the recycled folder, and cut along the spiral line you drew.

• Decorate the base spiral pattern with hearts of different sizes, using a pencil and crayons.

• Cut out different-sized hearts from colored paper.

• Glue the cutout hearts to the string. I usef four pieces of string of the same length. You can glue two or more hearts together, depending on your preference. I used double-sided tape in the middle to glue the cut-out heart-shaped paper to the string so the paper wouldn't slide down.

• Using a stapler, attach each string of hearts to the spiral base.

• Attach another short length of string to the top of the spiral. This will be used to hang the mobile.

• Your mobile heart string is ready to hang whenever you want to put it.

Mobile art is interesting because it's interactive. Some mobiles move with a touch, and others move with the help of a mechanism, and not just because of wind or air currents. A mobile must move freely without hitting the suspended objects.
