What might be news to some, the North Korean leader is currently in Russia ahead of talks with President Vladimir Putin. This meeting is said to be designed by both sides to send a message to the United States that there are more players when it comes to the North Koreans and their Nuclear programs. However, the Washington Post reports:
The Kremlin has said no major agreements will be signed nor joint statements issued during Kim’s meeting with Putin, which is expected to take place behind closed doors.
Putin and Kim meeting is a big step and would be the second leader Kim has met that has been at odds with the US after allegedly meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping last year.
