DISCOVERING YOUR IDENTITY (part 1)

There is a passionate call for man to know himself from the Socratic injunction "Man know thyself". Man tend to know everything about his environment, their causes and cure; from physics to metaphysics, questing for knowledge through epistemology, balancing chemical equations and converting raw materials into useful products through chemistry, differentiating between good and bad, right and wrong thereby passing judgement and showing mercy on his fellow through ethics, knowing how to conquer and subjugate his fellow through politics and yet man remains ignorant of his real self.
Your success in life depends on your knowledge about yourself: who you are and what you can do. A lot of people live their life base on the identity people gave to them, and have lost their own identity. This is why it is very important you study the word of God and know what God have said about you. Take a look at your life as a Christian, you will understand that you cannot serve God better than you know him. For you to serve God effectively as a Christian you must have the right knowledge about who God is and what he can do, you must see God the way He is....................
