Battlefield 2042.
Failed launch? Dwindling player count? Lack of content support?
You name it and it's been said about the Battlefield 2042 game. The supposed AAA title from a well known publisher and while I have been waiting for a long time for a modern shooter that wasn't Call of Duty or Apex: Legends I thought I could find trust in the franchise that was Battlefield.
Long ago Battlefield was the underdog fighting for its right in the FPS genre which was dominated by TITANFALL, Counter-Strike, and Call of Duty. I went ahead and tried Battlefield V and was impressed by the game modes and the sheer amount of maps and content support but I was still left wanting.
Alas... Dice revealed Battlefield 2042 with an AWESOME marketing trailer that cemented me as a buyer. I bought into the Gold package which would give me a chance to try early beta and gain early access.
Fast forward to now. Season 1. Finally. If you are just getting into Battlefield 2042 with season one you might just figure it to be another game HOWEVER... If you've slaved and suffered through the attrition that was the game at launch til now you will bask the glory of all the fixes and patches that have made this game a TON better. Though still is left to be done it is now in a better state to build off of and with season 1 launching and even better place to go.
