I was typing away as I listened to the smooth Australian accent from the audio file I was working on. I am a transcriptionist!
I heard her say, "an instagram". But I couldn't make the sense of it because the speech was about math and Z (Zed) and S (Sigma) and M (Mu) and stuff like that. You make "an instagram" out of it?
After a few hours, I checked on the 'rechecked' file and found it was actually "an histogram". Why do some people not pronounce the 'h' in historical and histogram?
I checked the dictionary and it the pronunciation actually has the 'h' in it.
