NFTs have been becoming increasingly main stream, Music, Movies, Games, in Game items, contracts and so much more can be made into an NFT. While typically the average crypto investor views NFTs as secondary an addition to a blockchain ledger a novelty with little to no use outside of that. Recently the popularity of NFTs have exploded causing rapid main stream adoption, this has caused a rise in projects addressing what exactly is the limitation of this medium.

What this could mean going forward
So the direction of Mainstream NFT and blockchain gaming adoption starts at this level fandom and communities. The furvert of fandom can move mountains and form empires (Disney) this power if properly merged with blockchain will be one of the largest impacts on crypto even with the explosion that we have currently undergone with mainstream adoption of crypto as a payment medium.
Just look at how much fans raised in a live streaming fundraiser for a few screenshots of the new FNAF .The live streamer earned $39,000 for the world wild life foundation WWF as the donations passed certain milestones the streamer would unlock another new screenshot from the upcoming game. This while not crypto related is yet another example of NFT use fundraising.
This already exists mostly in the sense that the purchase will help fund a future project or addition of an existing project like splinter lands land plots. Like an active project getting an infusion of capital as a Kickstarter of sorts.

As mainstream adoption of NFTs continue sites like WAX will become very valuable ease of use for your average consumer. Combine this with the lessoning of the increasing levels of isolation of the blockchain ledgers and users of said ledgers. Finally blockchain technology stands to unite what was almost always divided humanity.
Property and assets tokenized so the local Government and economic conditions dont affect ownership or value. The list of human rights violations alone made solvable by mass adoption of blockchain tech is nearly endless. Personal accountability for climate change is even possible through a blockchain system.
A real time voting system for infrastructure spending this is currently done in person if you could vote for the pothole as quick as sending a Text many more would take part security handled through blockchain voting gets rid of the fraud issue an ensures everyone's voice can be heard.
Kevin smith mentions in his interview how welcoming the crypto community is, I can say as the least popular person in the world (me) that this is true for anybody getting into crypto the communities are helpful and welcoming.
I try to pay it forward as I'm sure we all do, blockchain is a technology that while yes greed is always going to be a factor cooperation and generosity occur more frequently in this industry then anything I have ever been a part of.
