They just added a quest system which basically gives players a set list of NFTs when you collect everything listed you get a Mythic NFT if one of the first to do so as there is a set claim limit.
To put that in perspective there are only currently 3 Mythical Weapons on the market at all. Those for sale start at $356 at the time of writing so rare & valuable doesn't quite cover it.
Simplistic game in which you send your Hero every few hours or so on a mission. For succeeding in said mission you get BAM their crypto or NFT materials depending on which mission.
When you get the required crypto & NFTs to do so you can craft or upgrade Weapon or jewelry NFTs.
What that means is other then the Panda NFT required in this quest all the other required NFTs & crypto may be earned in game for free.
So basically being a long term player just got very profitable with their new quest system.
So Beast Gardens has been damn impressive in its number of sales even with the recent market turmoil.
For Starters when It comes to play to earn games the more you can play the more the better games tend to pay. This being said it takes nuance with most titles to actually profit. Basically this means while to some the project appears less then profitable you simply must know where to look.
You would be forgiven in thinking the Beast NFTs from Beast Gardens are the money maker. Not true its currently I find the plant NFTs, good well how do you get Plant NFTs?
First you get a surplus of Beast Garden Beast NFTs & BGALPHA though they can be bought I prefer to earn as much as possible through battle pass rewards & match rewards.
Since its fairly simple to earn BGALPHA by playing or just trade for it here.

You can use BGALPHA to buy Beast NFTs on their in game auction market, or WAX for P2P sales. Why buy Beast NFTs you want plant NFTs?
Rather simple you buy the Beast NFTs because they are cheap you then Disenchant (burn) the beast NFTs in game giving you Shards.
Once you accumulate 60 Shards & 600 BGALPHA you have enough to craft a plant pack.
You can now either sell the pack not much but a steady profit this way, However recently I have Been opening them.
To me the loss when opening a (Bad pack) is negligible & I fill up my Garden this way producing more fruit NFTs a day.
7 Plant types which each produce fruit NFTs with varying efficiency.
Rarity & weather effect fruit NFT production in game.
So legendary plants make much more fruit effectively meaning its a money tree so to speak. Fruit is needed for feeding beasts in game or evolving them which creates near constant demand.
So I opened the Plant 1 count pack I crafted & got.....
Flowering Frostberry Epic Plant out of my single count pack I could have sold for 32 WAX.
Not always this good of a result but I quite happy with this method which has drastically increased my profits from simply selling the beasts.

As the SPS airdrops come to a close many may think their profits with Splinterlands stop there, nope.
That old adage of having to spend money to make money is somewhat true. While that may be true this game is totally worth playing every day I have completed my daily challenge every day for well over a year now.
You can earn packs & DEC playing buying cheap packs you can bounce around between WAX / HIVE for a profit now that you can buy packs in DEC that's a third payment option with a fluctuating price.
With the new rewards cards getting them to WAX first gives you a 1st edition which while meaningless are very sought after. Given this is a function of their WAX oracle system I for one can attest it works like that first card sent to WAX of its type is a first edition or mint number 1.
Strictly taking advantage of independent market volatility is quite profitable on the small scale, However represents risk if done incorrectly.
Preferably just buying potions & packs then opening them utilizing 10 potions each time is where I make the most but you must be able to cover temporary losses.
That being said taking advantage of the secondary pack market on the small scale is the safer option though both have risks. With selling on WAX or buying cards on Peakdmonsters there are sometimes trading incentives.
For instance I buy cheaper packs on Hive-Engine send them to WAX then sell them on Nefty Blocks. Not only do I profit on the sale itself but between Nefty Quest & NEFTY rewards I usually make an extra Dollar or so per every 5 packs sold.
This is far from a living wage however it helps fund my crypto ventures so as to not utilize my income. I find its helpful to separate the two when at all possible.
For that reason I dont mind being generous with airdrops as its not out of pocket directly & its helpful to introduce people to projects they likely wouldn't try otherwise.
Speaking of Giveaways I airdrop many Splinterlands cards if not yet a player but owned 1 they may have a free Spell book for you I think.
Though I'm not sure you can read their post about SPS that mentions free Spell books to temp accounts accumulating SPS, not sure if that is how it works check the post below.

Or if completely new to Splinterlands its a great time to buy in, you will need a Spell book to transfer or own the NFTs in game which will cost $10. Its a TCG style game that is literally the best blockchain game I have ever played, it has made me well over $10,000 so I would say that was $10 well spent.

This is like a 20 min long highly technical read, which to me is like nerd candy.
For those not curious enough to check the Rewards chests for daily challenges & season rewards will be determined differently now. Switching things up significantly, this starts with the beginning of next season on May31st.
Blockchain games are not like any other system an economy combined with a fanbase & speculative investors. It makes the job of designing & maintaining them far from simple.
Small changes or designs can have massive ripple effects latter on success of the game tends to highlight these chain reactions, that can be disastrous when left unchecked.
