The General tone surrounding the public perception of NFTs is one of disgust as of late. Most believe all NFTs are scams having little to no actual value.
I cant help but feel like this is the same conversation we where having surrounding Crypto 2 years ago. Speculation & Ignorance, fueling hatred / jealously. Compare that to now crypto has very much been legitimized to a degree as an investment option.
Because Crypto is viewed as simply a speculative investment or currency medium the uninitiated cant reconcile exactly what NFTs are or how they factor in.
So as humans do they greet new conflicting information as an attack, this is a phycological response anyone has when confronting new information that clashes with what they already know.
Lack of understanding causes this demonization of sorts & since Crypto is in the realm of finance NFTs are to the uninformed a scam.
Coming from Someone that both personally produces NFTs as well as a person that understands the challenges developers of NFTs & Play to Earn games face. NFTs being called a scam & dismissed as simple photos we charge money for is beyond insulting.
Yes bad apples & rug pulls exist but to have ground breaking projects lumped in with that is depressing to say the least.
Today Ill go over a few projects going that extra mile a cut above the rest, NFTs are an artform unparalleled in human history its up to us to show the world why NFTs are so special.
This is exactly the kind of NFT project I am referring to Mutera originally on HIVE has set up & launched their packs on WAX. Recently I noticed I could transfer Mutera Packs from WAX & then open them on HIVE in game.
Not only that but apparently the game is actually in the test phase meaning you & I can now play. I still need to mess with it a little but yeah the game fires up.

I'm all about these Pokémon style monster tamer RPGs so this is basically going to be my new vice (put it in my veins).

A great sign for players as this means they cut the development time for the game down by years. Its beyond difficult to make your own proprietary game engine & develop the necessary NFTs & Tokenomics for a Blockchain game.
This is why many made without game engines are rather rudimentary & build upon simple click interfaces.
Were as usage of a Game engine allows developers to make substantially more complex games in a shorter time frame.

Think about this for instance Games in general have had a larger % of players buying digital copies. While they are taxed in the U.S & cost the same effectively the ownership is tenuous at best.

This is the reason HIVE & blockchain supporters / developers in general are such a special group we tend to help build each other up, not tear each other down.
For this reason I try to spread the good word there is more to NFTs & Blockchain then you may think.
I would call the word NFT more divisive then anything there where and are NFT scams making the rest of the industry look worse then it is. Because of this the public perception is one of skepticism or disgust, which is why its up to individuals like myself to show others the positive aspects of NFTs.
This is why in every post I give out NFTs via airdrops while not always the most expensive they are valued for more then just subjective appeal IE they have a usage.
NFTs also can be bad for the environment but the blockchains like WAX, HIVE, EOS, XTZ, & BSC have negated most of their environmental impact compared to ETH. While ETH laid the ground work its utterly obsolete when it comes to NFTs & Play 2 Earn games.
WAX is even carbon neutral not counting certain governance issues & with carbon offsets even that's rendered green.
To me Blockchain & NFTs are not a fad but the future allowing individuals to reclaim agency long since lost to current economic or technological systems.
