There can be only one.....photo entry for the contest and this image of a juvenile Northern Flick (Woodpecker) was going to be the one until I captured the images below.

I wasn't sure what I acually captured till I downloaded the files to my laptop and when I got to the image above, I was like YES! that's the money shot and this image became THE ONE!!

After grounding out they both try and get some altitude to go with all that attitude..
One makes it to the top of the feeder and pulls a king of the mountain move as the other swoops up and tries to land.
The bird on the roof of the feeder drops down on the swooping bird and clocks it one then flits over to get it's reward.
My little Ruby-throated Hummingbird now has a name.
