This resort is one of the hidden gem in Compostela and is well-known on various social media platforms due to its distinct features and charm. If you're a type of person who enjoys nature, this spot is ideal for you! Let's dive in!

HOW TO GET THERE?

Paraizzo Garden Café is located away from the bustling city, making it an ideal spot for those looking to unwind amid nature or seeking a bit of adventure. You can find Paraizzo Garden Café in Sitio Danikop, Basak, Compostela, Cebu. If you plan to visit by public transport, you can take jeepney heading to Danao. The fare for the jeepney is ₱50 and the journey typically lasts about 1 hour and 10 minutes. Request the driver to drop you off at Sea oil /Guimbal or infront of Municipal Hall. From that point, you can find motorbikes or habal-habal and tricycles nearby; just inform them that you’re headed to “Paraizzo Garden Café.” The fare for this ride is 60 pesos.
Paraizzo Garden is quite an adventure, especially when heading to the resort due to the road conditions. You'll have to cross three rivers before reaching the café. It's essential to check the weather app prior to planning your trip to Paraizzo Café Garden because rainy weather makes the road hazardous and significantly increases the risk of accidents.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

Paraizzo Garden Café is located at the mountains in Compostela. This café offers a stunning view and serves as a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. It’s an ideal place to unwind and spend quality time with family and friends. The picturesque overlooking view adds uniqueness and charm to the atmosphere.

The cottages, constructed from nipa and bamboo, perfectly complement the environment and enhance its visual appeal. What I love most about this place is the abundance of trees and plants that create a garden-like feel.

Upon entering, visitors can stroll through a floral archway resembling a bridal pathway, surrounded by flowers and vines. There are numerous resthouses that provide perfect spots for photos or relaxation. Furthermore, what sets them apart is that despite being called Paraizzo Garden Café, this venue is actually a resort. Indeed! This place is truly one of a kind.

The resort has a pet cat, rabbit and birds that bring even more of a natural ambiance to the location.

ACCOMODATIONS

The entrance fee is ₱25 for adults, while children under 7 years old can enter for free. There is an extra charge of ₱50 for adults and ₱25 for children who wants to use the pool. The resort does not impose a corkage fee. There are no function halls available for special events or designated areas for guest activities because the resort is relatively small, but there are numerous small villas.

POOL AREA

Paraizzo Garden Café features two swimming pools. The jacuzzi-style pool is designated for children, while the infinity pool caters to adults. This pool area includes a small nipa hut for guests looking to unwind by the water. Additionally, there are numerous chairs available for guests who wish to sit and take in the scenic view of the resort.

RISK

Paraizzo Garden Café is currently under construction to highlight other features of the resort. On another note, this resort is situated on sloped terrain, which can pose a danger for guests who are not cautious or are unsteady on their feet. As someone who has a fear of sloping areas, I can confidently say this location may not be suitable for you. Nonetheless, they have installed rails and ropes so that guests can hold on while they walk. It is advisable to wear a pair of slippers that grip well, as the pathway can be very slippery when wet.

FOOD AND BEVERAGES

In addition to the beautiful scenery and the tranquil setting, the Paraizzo Garden Resort offers a wide range of food options, including snacks, silog dishes, pasta, and various beverages. We chose to try tocilog, pork silog, and topsilog. For our snacks, we got fries, burgers, and chips. The flavor of their food is excellent and delicious, definitely worth the price.

EXPERIENCES

My friends and I visited there on December 18, 2023. The weather was bad and it was raining at that time. My friends suggested that we shouldn't go there because the road to Paraizzo was very hazardous, and there was a risk that the rivers we encountered could rise and leave us stranded. Although we felt like we had a strong guardian angel, we opted to proceed to Paraizzo despite the poor weather. When we arrived in Paraizzo, we were surprised to find that while it was pouring in the city, it was sunny and dry here. I believe we made a fantastic choice by sticking to our plan to come here! HAHA. We took a lot of pictures and explored the resort, which was quite impressive and featured many small paths leading to various areas of the resort. The staff here is very welcoming and eager to help whenever needed.

PRACTICAL TIPS

If you plan to visit Paraizzo garden café, make sure to pack all your essentials since the resort is located quite far from the city and the only store nearby is the one at the resort, which has very high prices. It's also important to bring mosquito repellent, as Paraizzo garden resort has many mosquito that could put you at risk for dengue. Remember to charge your cameras and phones beforehand, as there are no outlets available in every cottage at Paraizzo Garden resort. Also, the area lacks any mobile signal.
