LETS - Local Exchange Trading Systems or Schemes - are local community-based mutual aid networks in which people exchange all kinds of goods and services with one another, without the need for money.
If of interest i wrote the directory in the town i live in, tho it's not currently active tho it is active worldwide, here it took about 2 days to actually set up.
am not part of a system like this now, but today it could take on a complelely different meaning.
