HANAKO

Hi trunks:

A few days ago on the platform I introduced Lofi, a samurai warrior who goes on a journey in search of his brother, and I told them that on his way the young samurai is involved in endless fights and adventures, meeting very good friends. Today I would love to share with you one of those great friends who accompany Lofi on his journey, and she is Hanako.

Hanako is a young samurai warrior destined for greatness, trained since she was a baby by the legendary Aoki Yamanaka, a living samurai legend.

Step by step

1. I started drawing a small sketch of Hanako's head on a blank sheet of paper.

2. Then, I continued to draw her eyes, nose and mouth.

3. I continued to draw her hair and butterfly ribbon.

4. I started shading her hair and defining the drawing in general.

5. I added her eyebrows as I continued shading her hair.

6. I then, almost entirely, shaded her hair, and added her pony tail.

7. I finished her hair and defined her war armor.

8. I kept adding detail to her suit and armor, thus finalizing the hand drawing.

9. Then, I passed it into my art program.

10. Then, I cleaned the drawing making the final lineart.

11. I decided to start coloring the drawing on her skin.

12. I continued to color her eyes.

13. Then, I colored her war suit and butterfly ribbon.

14. Then, I colored her war armor.

15. I also colored her dark hair.

16. Then, I finally colored her ponytail.

17. And to finish the process, I added my signature on the drawing and the background.

As final result: The Samurai Prodigy.

For the curious, Hanako is a 19-year-old young warrior, raised and trained since she was a child, by the living legend Aoki Yamanaka. Hanako was found wrapped in blankets at the river Oriya, on the brink of death, by Aoki, who saved her taking with her to her cabin in the mountains.

That day, Aoki decided to adopt Hanako, treating her since then as her own daughter.

From an early age, Hanako showed an immense interest in the art of the sword and the life of the samurai, a subject that Aoki knew perfectly. So at 7 years old, Hanako began her formal training as a future warrior. She wielded her sword exceptionally well, and fought as a war general, completely exceeding Aoki's expectations. It was at this moment that Aoki understood that Hanako was destined for greatness.

The years passed and Hanako's interest in the world under the mountains increased, so Aoki decided to prepare her for everything that awaited. She told her about the dangers of the world, and the wonders it had, in addition to tell the truth about the day they met and how, as a Baby, she was found wrapped in sheets on the banks of the Oriya river.

This enveloped Hanako in endless emotions, caused mainly by the need to know the current whereabouts of her true parents. So, at the age of 18, and after a long farewell with her friend and mentor, Hanako decided to set out on her own journey in search of her true parents.
