Hello everyone. This is my introduction (although I said from my last post that is my introduction 😂) in the hive communities. I’m gonna start by saying I’m not good at this so please bear with me as I’m gonna fill you up with boring details about me.
My name is Christine and I’m currently in Sydney. I am a Filipino and just came here to Australia last November 2019 before covid starts. I finished Accountancy in the Philippines and work as Accounting Assistant in one of the supermarkets there. I stayed there 2 years before I decided to fly to a different country. Originally, it was never my plan to come here to Australia, I knew I wanted to go abroad but I never think of Australia. Nevertheless, I didn’t regret coming here and am still thankful for this blessing.
Life in Australia
I am on a student visa here in Sydney and taking a Diploma of Early Childhood Education in short child care. If you gonna ask me why I’m studying that I also don’t know why 😂 Because even before I’m not fond of children, I also didn’t have a chance to take care of one as my siblings and I doesn’t have a wide age gap. What I have in the Philippines is my Shih Tzu named Yolo 🐶
But as I am working 1 year now in child care the children grow into me. Even they don’t listen to us all the time, I still like to see them every day. They are the cutest 😍 Also, it is amazing that I have the capability to support families by entrusting their children with us. Being able to work in childcare allows me to have a positive impact on the lives of the children.
Hobbies
I don’t have distinct hobbies. I’m just one of the people who like to spend most of their time on a phone looking at social media, watching or shopping. But when I do have free time (usually on my way home) I read a book. I also like taking random pictures, especially with a film camera which I’m still trying to learn how to use it. I love travelling, I love to see the oceans, mountains and different cities. And I’m glad that it’s all within the reach here in Syd.
Personality
I’m the type of person who likes going out but also likes to be alone. But if I’m gonna categorised myself I would be in the introvert area. I’m very awkward at the first meeting and always shy whenever I met a stranger. It will take me a while before I will be comfortable with someone but when I do, it will be hard for me to stop talking. Also, I always put myself into someone else’s shoes and I’m always open to any opinion.
I discovered the hive from my friend, she keeps telling me this cool app where I can share everything I want. At first, I was hesitant as writing is not my forte. But then I was intrigued and decided to download it and have a look. And true to her words, it is an amazing platform to share everything and anything you like. I’m still learning how to use it and that’s why I’m thankful to 
Here I will expect myself to read and learn and improve my writing and be able to share my experiences.
