Nobody will be able to face you in all the days of your life; As I was with Moses, I will be with you; I will not leave you, nor will I forsake you. Joshua 1: 5

There was an enemy people in Israel who always harassed and challenged them, these were the Philistines. Among his army, stood a warrior who imposed himself in height and superb attitude. His name was Goliath. With his words he intimidated the whole army of Israel and challenged them every day. Their attitude humiliated them but nobody had the courage to face it. Until David appeared.

This young shepherd of sheep, actually had made good use of his time of pasturing training against bears and lions when his flock was attacked. But even more so was his deep trust in the Lord. I could not allow the humiliating words against God and do nothing about it!

Therefore, he took his sling and some stones and ventured confidently against Goliath knowing that God was with him. As with Joshua, David lived the spiritual cover and released his people (1 Samuel 17).

The devil often, although he knows he is defeated, shows himself displaying greatness and pretending that our prayers do not hurt him. It makes us believe that no matter how much we pray, forgive or persevere, nothing will change. But the truth is that every prayer of ours in the name of Jesus is undermining his resistance and he has to let go of that which no longer belongs to him.

When we believe, then we are part of the most powerful army.

Jesus said clearly: "Behold, I give you power to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the strength of the enemy, and nothing will harm you" (Luke 10:19).

Power

The authority that Jesus obtained from the Father and through his perfect surrender (Matthew 28:18, Luke 4: 6), is the same authority that he gives to those of us who are called to follow his work on earth.

This is no small thing, because if we remember his surrender in the days of Easter, we can live a life of victory understanding that in our hearts lives who has conquered death itself !! (Acts 2:24)

Jesus has authority, power over everything created; but not to live according to the rules of this world, but according to the Kingdom of Heaven (Romans 12: 2)

Protection

Just as Jesus spoke that even the dangerous thing of this time would not hurt us, it does not really tell us that we will never have problems, but rather that we will be able to get out of every situation (1 Cor 10:13, John 16: 33). He himself had to suffer on the cross, however, today he is not anguished by the pains ... but he enjoys his eternal and heavenly glory!

In the same way, the Lord longs for us to look at his example and imitate his way.

It is time to proclaim the authority of Christ! It is time to live with authority over the spiritual hosts. Behind situations of conflict and enmity, the enemy moves to generate chaos, confusion and ruin. But, in the name of Jesus, we have the power to overcome.

We must persevere in prayer until we reach the goal and do not receive the lies of the enemy. He will not be able to face us, since the Lord is at our side as a mighty giant!

God sends us to preach his word, to forgive and to impact with love. Wherever we go, He will be by our side. But our commission is not for a world without problems, but rather, to a battlefield where faith and perseverance are necessary. Undoubtedly, that the war is already won. Let's move on to what God has arranged for us. Just like David, we have the power to overcome Jesus Christ. Amen!
