Maybe you don't consider them milking your curation but they are certainly milking the reward pool (and spamming) if they get 20+ votes per week.
Possibly so, but I'm sure there are users receiving more than 20 votes per week who you would not consider as milking.
It's important to note that there will be a wider selection of high quality content and users to choose from as the user base of d.buzz grows.
Curation of users is not just an incentive for them to post, but an incentive for non-HIVE users to join and contribute too.
This is why it's important to practice gentle communication, both in terms of tone, tempo and word choice, so that people have a reason to stay for the community.
You said that you manually curate but it seems that the content is not checked?
I manually review the content I curate, very much like a typically staked user would curate content they value.
It seems to me a bit like clicking on upvote on all posts like it is "like" button? :-)
Yes, it is a bit like that, both involve a button, and in both cases the button is sometimes clicked on.
There are some differences though, a "Like" button is rendered with the word "Like" while the "Upvote" button on DBuzz is a Heart.
Another key difference is the "Like" buttons on Facebook do not have a % function, so it's either fully supporting a post, or not supporting it at all.
On DBuzz and other HIVE frontends its possible to upvote (aka "Like") from 1% to 100%.
Interested in communicating with you more @hivewatcher, as I practice effective communication and get better at it over time.
Thank you.
