You lost me at "If violence erupts here, this could get ugly, and we need peace, not more discord." It has been violent from Day 1. The rioters there left the word "protest" by the wayside long ago. This is an insurrection. The rest of the country is trying to get back to work. The last thing the rioters in Portland want is a dialogue.
