SEEDS is a complex community and the onboarding process can appear a little bit too difficult.
You have to be invited by a member to become yourself a SEEDs member.
When you download the Passport you can create your account with the invitation code and you get your first Seeds, the token of the SEEDs community.
You can introduce yourself in the Discord of the SEEDs community or create a profile in the Passport. Your profile will be register in the Telos blockchain.
You then become a visitor or guest.
You cannot vote for the project of the community before to become a citizen, but you first have to become a resident.
There are 4 steps to become a SEEDS resident
These steps are replacing the Know Your Customer (KYC) identification process
The big advantage of the SEEDS community is to get money to develop your organization, heal the planet and regenerate the economy.
You have to create an account for your org and make an introductory post for your org.
You start to discuss with other citizens, you have studied several projects from other organizations and you want to go further and to be able to vote for projects, you will have voting rights only when you become a citizen
Write a proposal and discuss it in the co-op proposal section of the Discord. Collect comments improve it. Each lunar cycle , residents and citizens are proposing new projects. Citizens are voting for a full lunar cycle. If you reach 90 % consent and a quorum, which is relative to the number of citizens and the number of projects, you project can be elected and you will get the money you need for your Alliance or your Campaign.
This onboarding process has been illustrated on Miro and is continuously improved by the Movement building circle, an instance of the governance of SEEDS.
