I'd love to introduce you to my favourite bird.
Her name is Indy. And she lives with my elderly dad and brother.
She was hand raised by my mum. Unfortunately Indy does not like females. She only loves males- which is absolutely logical since she's a female and she sees us as her competition. Unfortunately the males in the house do not like her so much.....馃槬 though they used to and used to play with her, but nope, not now...馃槶

The moral to the story, DON'T ever buy a bird- or any other animal for that matter without researching them first. Don't be an impulse buyer. Don't follow your friends just because they got one.....

Don't ever buy a bird that lives for about 30yrs, for parents that are already old.- especially when one of them wears hearing aids and the screeching hurts the eardrums through the hearing aids (and now refuses to wear the hearing aids because of the screeching...)

indy 2.jpg

Don't ever buy an Indian Ringneck as a pet because humans can't stand the screeching. (especially when one of those male humans has zero tolerance....)

indy 4.jpg

And don't ever buy a bird to lock it up by itself in a prison for its entire life.

indy 6.jpg

And people wonder why they scream for freedom.....馃檮

It's like caging any animal.

Don't. Just don't.

After all, we wouldn't chop off our own legs so we couldn't walk or run and we wouldn't chop off our arms so we couldn't flap them around, so we do we feel free to do it to them without their choice or permission.
