Know when to Stop.
Knowing when to stop is a sign of strength, elevation or phase advancement if you like to call it so, and not a sign of weakness as some thought are in such manner.
This is categorically pointed on the senerio where a system constantly gives a negative effect or results indicating that there must be a fault somewhere that needs a change or better still a stop.
I didn't realise that there's a level of fullness where one more bite or step could lead to danger, disaster. Yesterday I experienced this phenomenon first hand, I later say down and digest the lesson I had learnt. Life is full of mistakes but letting it repeat itself is where we become a faulter.
As I sat down to eat my dinner, I was determined to finish my meal. But the more I ate, the more I felt like I was going to throw up. I tired to push through, having that mind set of "if I don't eat this what else do I ha e to eat?". Each time I try to take another chew I felt like a chore. This is a food I normally eat on a daily now irritate me. I was taken aback by how quickly my body had reached its limit.
This experience taught me that sometimes, it's essential to discern and know when to stop. Whether you're eating or working on physical project or something relating to business, there's a point called diminishing returns. Pushing beyond such point can lead to disaster, shattering all the progress being done, that is what we don't want.
Another similar experience was relating to academics and it was mathematics, fora long time I was facing a challenge in getting any mathematics question involving different signs put together in one question by just solving or calculating them ordinarily by starting the calculation from the left hand side to the right hand side which caused me so much disappointment that also made my learning limited I was adamant to ask for help not until it get much more frustrating I had to ask and I learnt of a system called BODMAS which involve solving any mathematical problems carrying more than two signs in one question which is been solved following the arrangement specifically. B stands for bracket, O stands for OF, D stands for Division, M stands for multiplication, A stands for Additional and finally S stands for subtraction.
So you see if I haven't been adamant thinking I use to be correct I would have never learnt of a system called BODMAS systematic way of calculating.
Self-awareness is crucial in recognizing when to stop especially when there isn't a change. It's about being attuned to your body, exposure and mind, knowing when you've reached your limit to stop or a time for change in the way I do this things. This awareness can help you avoid burnout, prevent waste, and maintain a sense of balance in your life.
Have you ever experienced this while eating before? Or doing something you fully thought was right either academically or psychological. That moment when one more bite feels like a catastrophe? Or that consistent mistake would continually cost you a lot. Share your stories in the comments below!
It is important to understand deeply about things so not to be limited moreover reducing exploration.
Remember, sometimes it's alright to let go. Not every situation requires you to push through. Doing the same thing and expecting a different result ain't going to work. Knowing when to stop can be a sign of strength, not weakness. So, the next time you're faced with a decision, ask yourself: will taking one more step lead to progress or disaster?
Do not get it switched from discipline aspect that's why I emphasize on deeply understanding what you are doing. We'll know exercising discipline needs constant repetition with dedication but this aspect of discussion is different.
Know what you're doing and if it's good put more momentum for greater achievement.
That is my take. Thank you for reading through.
