My daughter's schedule for therapy is 3x a week. She is 3 years old and she has twice in a week Occupational therapy and once a week speech therapy. I prefer to call the place a "school" since she goes there to learn. So every other day, we spend 2 hours of travel going to her school and another 2 hours going back home.
This morning, while we are going back home, my father-in-law stopped to a drugstore and bought medicines for my mom-in-law's arthritis. While we were waiting for my father-in-law, I noticed a man at the side of the drugstore, almost near with a trash can. He is just an ordinary outcast, with self care deficits. I am not sure if the right term for him is stray man. But it was as if he lived in the streets. Actually, days ago, I have already noticed him. He was writing and as if was copying, or tallying something from another paper on his left hand. He was doing the same thing today. And so I believe he does that everyday, on that same spot of the drugstore.
I began to imagine what could have been the reason for this man to be like what he is now. Was he born normal? Or it was poverty that brought him to that condition. I know not one of my questions will be answered by him. But I was reminded of something in my past. It was the time when I thought I would also go insane. But still, I thank to our Lord Almighty, He guided me. I pray that that man can still see God. And be touched by His love.
