I looked out the window and realized that I had been hiding for too long. The sun was already up and it was shinning directly at me, the grasses smiled directly at me too in their green suits and the river that flowed some distance away from my window winked at me, without even realizing I winked back and instantly the beautiful birds on the royal Poinciana tree started serenading me obviously thinking i winked at them.
I couldn't resist the urge to dance to their lovely tune, Sandra's salsa lessons really paid off, one step here and one step there and I was already outside the house displaying. The breeze applauded me and even volunteered to dance with me, I let it take the lead though and I followed without saying a word. The squirrels for FOMO decided to join in on the fun with their Amapiano tunes, argh, what a beautiful way to start off the morning.
After several minutes of being one with nature, I finally got tired and waved my amazing friends goodbye. But then I couldn't go back inside that house, it's hungry self would swallow me whole and I'll be trapped in that darkness. It had been like that for days since Aurora passed away, I couldn't bear the grief, I couldn't live life without her, without her tasty Paella Valenciana, or tunes from her Mozart keys on the piano, or her heartwarming hugs.
Oh my dear Aurora, I said to myself, sitting on her favorite spot staring at the river. I wish I could call out to her and let her know how much her little man is missing her. At that moment, I caught something move at the corner of my eye, obviously startled, I regained my composure and started towards what I saw. My stomach let out a tingly feeling, and I couldn't help but wonder if it thought it was something really delicious, haha. I couldn't remember the last time I actually had a delicious rabbit for breakfast.
I followed the sound as carefully as I could and at the of the forest I could hear the sound stop. I creeped slowly and noticed it move again, I hid by a tree and tried to pinpoint the exact location of the sound and without stress I found it. It was a beautiful rabbit, she must have been some days old because she was quite big and very white. I felt that tingly feeling again in my stomach and a smile escaped my lips. Ok, with steady breaths I approached it. Catching rabbits with my bare hands were some of the lessons Pops taught me and I was really good at it.
I made a sharp leap for it and awfully missed it, the rabbit sensed me earlier and made a run for it's life. I regained myself and gave it a hot chase, damn, it was really fast for it's size. It kept on systematically dodging me like it was having fun playing this game. I made another leap and this time missed it by an inch, I got up immediately and just as I was running towards it again, I lost my footing and fell, it took me down the steep side of the forest and like a ball, I started to roll uncontrollably.
Then I landed in the middle of tall bushes, they were really high and had sharp nails that pierced through the skin. I wrestled till I finally got out of the tall bushes cursing, my skin bled from the sharp cuts the bushes dealt me. I looked up to my greatest surprise to find myself being stared down by a beautiful river, and instantly something popped up from inside. It looked like a big fish, I must have been mistaken.
I took some cautious steps forward to be sure of what I saw. When I got close enough I realized it had long hair and very beautiful skin. It's bared back was turned towards me and I could see way the hair fell on its back all the way to it's waistline and stopped some inches away from the curves that were hidden in the river. My throat immediately became dry and I was lost in a trance. I stood there for minutes without saying a word and then it turned.
I could see beautiful eyes, well shaped chin, with pointed nose and perfectly carved lips. It wasn't an animal, it was a lady!!
Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!, she screamed in fear and shock.
Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!, I also screamed back as I regained myself and started to run towards what I thought was the way home.
Since this week we'll be promoting the #writing Community, I decided to be free with it, I just flowed and followed wherever my mind was taking me, i just let it lead me and then I stumbled on a beautiful story by @popurri titled The Blue Clover and the rose bush
And there was a very good reason for this. Since the clover appeared in the garden, the family was doing better. The father had gotten a job, the grandfather who had been very ill had healed. The grandmother remembered everything she had forgotten and the mother... the mother was cheerful all day long, she sang and danced, the bitterness had escaped from her beautiful face and the children were happy.
I couldn't help but admire how magical her story is, a clover bringing about positivity and good things to the family, it was really something to read so I decided to promote it.
