Let me give a brief overview about this design. Checkstyle is a fantastic open source development tool to help programmers. The logo feels old and its style may not fit properly in small areas so I wanted to create a new logo that is simpler, modern, clean and also portrays the project.

This logo is minimal, it has a unique look, it looks more modern and it is simple and really works well for the project.

I made use of a blue colour to represent a popular blue pen ink.
Conclusion
This logo design contribution was just pure creativity, there was no rule behind the design, and the aim was to create a new logo for checkstyle.
