Back in the good old days, when a woman's highest trophy was the man she married, life seemed to be way easier. The men looked for homely ladies with moderate education, if she had a degree, then you'd bagged a good one.
Then came the feminist movement who began opening the eyes of these women that they deserved more than an 'Adam'. They fought for equal rights and equal opportunities. They started a movement of more ambitious women.
Then what happens to our men? They began to admire these women of ambition and purpose. They became more attracted to the 'boss lady'( well most of them, not all)
So now, a man would look for a woman who wasn't only beautiful and homely with good behavior but one who was as intellectually engaging like him, ambitiously purpose driven and who appreciated the fine things of life, like the beauty in Renaissance art or the intricacy of the codes behind a well developed app. They began to ask questions like ' where do you see yourself in the next 5 years? What is your purpose?' Questions that women once asked only.
So my throwback is for all the ladies who still think their wedding day is the biggest event in their life and that marriage was success. Honey wake up......the world is changing....there's a mentality shift just like brands in owerri are slowly beginning to see the need to be online.
And of course I'm amongst the other percent of purpose driven women(an I still see my Adam as a trophy). So where are my fellow purpose driven people are, that's where I'd be.
