Doing good to others is at the very heart of what God wants from us. When God made Adam, He saw that Adam was alone and needed help, so He created Eve to be his companion.
This is a proof that had good intentions when it comes to people caring for one another.
When we hurt others by words, actions, or neglect it often leaves them feeling sad, angry, or even depressed.
But if we decide to be kind to them,we bring smiles to their face.
Even a simple act like helping someone carry their bag, listening to their worries, or sharing a meal can make a big difference.
Galatians 6:10 tells us: “As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.” Here, “opportunity” means life itself. Waking up each day is a gift from God, a fresh chance to show goodness to others.
For example, think of how you feel when someone does something kind for you without expecting anything in return. You have this urge to help others too. That’s how love spreads.
Jesus is the best example. Even as people insulted Him and nailed Him to the cross, He prayed for them. He taught us to love not only friends and family but even our enemies.
Doing good shouldn’t be limited to those close to us. It includes strangers and even those who may not treat us well.
That is the way we have to live as the children of God, making the world a bright place for everyone.
The opportunity of life is what we should use to do good to all men.
It’s what God wants, and it’s how we show His love in action.
