January to February is probably the coldest weather in the Philippines. Filipinos being in a tropical country , swim anytime of the year. Thanks to the thriving Hotspring Resorts Business in Calamba, Laguna. This side, South of Luzon have been known to the many hotspring resorts, in fact, the houses inside the villages here are being transformed into private resorts that are almost packed all year round. Why wouldn't you want to swim here? When the hot water can relax your stress mind and relieved some body pains.
One of the best resorts that I have been so far in this side of town is the 888 Hotspring Resorts. The resort caters to Korean clients, so when you visit this place you would see a lot of Koreans than Pinoys. The scenery is majestic! Inside the resort, is overlooking Mt. Makiling. The place is so clean, and you could almost smell the fresh bedding's from the rooms.

One of the most sought after facilities of the resort is their, FengShui Energy Pool. It has nine little pools with varied temperature ranging from 37 to 43 degrees Celsius. You only need to dip on the eight pools, because the ninth is so hot and is off-limits. You need to find the pool with the lowest temperature first, dip in it for five to ten minutes. And go to the next higher temperature and repeat the process until you finish all eight. At first, it's so hard because even though we are used to taking hot showers it is different when your whole body is submerged in it. The first pool is somehow similar to the temperature of a Jacuzzi and might be tolerable to some. But as you go to the other pools, it becomes really hot. So the technique is you dip your feet first for two to three minutes, then followed by your legs, then your body. Until the whole body gets accustomed to the heat.
There are many other warm pools, cold pools and Jacuzzi's inside the resort. You can clearly see the Feng Shui interior around.
This is a well of very hot water. As you can see there is a monitor with the temperature and the smoke coming from the well would tell you how hot it is.
There are various rooms and villas to choose from if you wanted to stay for the night.
There is a SPA inside the resort too if you want to relax longer after a warm dip at the pool.
Bringing of food inside is prohibited, only bottled water is allowed. Well you can sneak off some chips on your bag but make sure no one will see you eating them. There are two restaurants, this one on the ground floor is an Italian Restaurant that serves Pizza, pastas, Filipino dishes and Korean Dishes such as japchae and Korean Crispy Chicken, which I liked better than the ones sold by Bonchon. The other restaurant upstairs serves Korean Food, we didn't tried it out because we have children with us and they don't eat spicy foods. Aside from that, food is pricey up here as compared to the Italian restaurant.
Here are my boys who enjoyed a day's worth of swimming.
