ANOINTING AND MINISTRY

Anointing talk about spiritual ability to do something for the Kingdom of God. Anointing is spiritual enablement to carryout task for God.
Isaiah 61: 1-3

1. The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
   2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
   3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

Jesus declare that the spirit of the Lord is upon Him is the source of his anointing for exploit in ministry. God anointed him to preach the good news, set the prisoners free open the eyes of the blind (spiritually and physically), release the oppressed and proclaim the favour of God on all humanity.
Ministry is any service vendor to the glory of God and as such everybody created by God is expected to be a minister. The anointing for effective service comes from the Spirit of God.
Without anointing the ministry becomes burdensomes and fruitless. God has bless the whole world through the ministry of Jesus.

The question you need to ask God is what I am call to do for the Kingdom of God?

1. Look inward to your potential
2. Look at where you can serve in the Kingdom
3. Ask God to speak to you on it

Once you have discover where you can serve in the body of Christ the next thing you will need to do is to seek the anointing require for you to function in that capacity.
Listen before you start praying for the anointing to function first, you need to give your life to Jesus so that your service can be acceptable to God.
The Holy Spirit is the anointing so get yourself filled with the holy Spirit by desiring it from the baptizer Jesus Christ Himself and pray to die to flesh so that His Spirit can flow through you.
The more you die to flesh and allow the Holy Spirit to flow through you, the more you are position to be used by God for great exploit.

How to die to flesh

1. Give your life to Jesus Christ.
2. Read and meditate on the word of God.
3. Follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.
4. Deny self anytime self call on you.
5. Separate your self from things that pull you back to sin.
6. Be vigilant and pray always.

The desire of God is for us to do exploit for His kingdom, so as you pray and position yourself the Spirit of God will anoint you and work through you the more.
