Absolutely, I agree. It is an ecosystem. That hawk didn’t kill the snake just for fun, but for food.

I bet you can't tell the difference of texture and taste when they are in your mouth. In addition, they are good source of protein ;-) I once ate a sugar apple full of white worms just like these shown
