I'm glad to be writing my first post on hive and I'm happy to be a part of this great community. There are lot of posts about the hive community that caught my attention on social media - Twitter to be specific. So, Im elated that I'm going to be introducing myself to the hive community. My name is Jennifer Nwachukwu and I'm fondly called Jenny by my close friends. Henceforth, I'd be known as 
I'm a graduate of Linguistics and African studies from University of Ibadan, Nigeria. I'm a model and chef. I started my modeling career in school when I first participated in the Freshers Pageantry (a contest for the Most Beautiful Girl during the first year in school). I came second runner-up in that contest.
I also love cooking so much that I aspire to be a professional chef. My favorite room in the house is the kitchen. LOL. You can call me a Foodie.
I try different things in the kitchen. I'd be sharing some of my recipes for local Nigerian delicacies with you guys. So, if you are a food lover, stay tuned and watch out this space.
I'm from a family of three and we are all girls. I'm the second child of the family. It's quite interesting to have a all girls home. You have a lot to talk and gossip about. LOL. It would be a different story to tell if we have boys, anyways but we are good as we are.
This is the reason why I have always been an advocate for the girl child everywhere I find myself. I talk to a lot of girls that think of giving up their dreams, dropping out of school, victims of rape or other forms of ill treatment in the society. I believe the girl child should not be treated as trash but with respect and dignity which they deserve.
I have a lot of great ideas and innovations I'm bringing to the hive community. I'd be showcasing my culinary skills and various recipes. I'm open to meeting new friends, cultures and different food from other countries.
