Hello Guys! Again cheche here.
I just want to share one of my artwork. Actually, I made this as a practice. Since I'm not that professional for this medium which is oil pastel, but still, I'm in love blending of colors using this material.
Wait this is my favourite part. To share the procedure of this artwork. I love to share any of my artwork because I believe that sharing is caring and I'm happy if I can inspire another person from this work.
Introduction
Lemon is one of the fruits which contains too many nourishing elements like vitamins (especially C, A, B6, E ) niacin, thiamin, folate, riboflavin, pantothenic acid, copper, calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium, zinc, phosphorus, and protein.
Lemon also helps to prevent diabetes, high blood pressure, fever, constipation etc.. It is a fruit that contains flavonoids, which are composites that contain antioxidant and cancer-fighting properties.
MATERIALS
- pencil
- sketchpad
- oil pastel - not that professional for this material :)
Enjoy the tutorial :)
PROCEDURE
- First we need to make the sketch of our subject.
Why I chose Lemon? Simple because as I'm on a trial and error for the oil pastel material and need to have a subject with simple and easy color combination :).
First I make the outline of the first lemon sketch and I chose color brown - vandyke brown. Its darker than typical color brown :). Actually, this color brown will be a perfect outline for our yellow lemon.
After the outline, I colored the whole part of the lemon with the colour combination of yellow and lemon yellow. I used these two shades of yellow to make a combination of yellow shade and vivid shade from lemon yellow.
After the first lemon need to do the same procedure for the next lemon. :)
Then next I make some clear line of some part of the subject to make it more delectable and detailed.
To be more detailed especially for the shadow purpose of the lemon, I add a shade of orange - dark orange.
As you noticed the below image I make the dark orange shade in below part of the lemon.
I just applied a small amount of dark orange and mixed it with lemon yellow to have the same color.
OMG ! This is the disaster :( when I'm using oil pastel I hate black color it makes my work so messy. As you can see the leaves .hahaha even this time it's a disaster but still share the mechanics. Wew!
For the leaves I used the green color phthalo green with a little amount of deep blue so that I can make a dark green.
yeah I used black but sorry its a mess. Actually, I want to make a shadow only for the leaves but that's the result. Hehe
After the messy leaves. I colored the trunk with color brown and shade of black, plus the little amount of white. :)
Then let's mess the background. hahaha Sorry I didn't clean it with tissue to make it more attractive. As per the sayings, It's nice to just embrace the natural beauty within you. Haha
And that's all :) thank you for passing by and it's my pleasure to share my messy art by using oil pastel- faber castel brand.
Hope you enjoy! :)
Special thanks
I want to thank idol @abs-pointilisim because of you I tried to use again this oil pastel and I'm looking forward making more art using the same:). Orayttttt!
